Hi Pancakers,

We're having a nice string of August days here in the NE. I hope everyone else is enjoying it!

Mr. M's blood work was perfect, so I will stop worrying about him for now. He appears to be back to normal. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for him tomorrow for a grooming. Salon groomers won't take him without vaccinations. I've chosen not to give him vaccinations (except for rabies, which is required by law) because he is an ultra sensitive senior. So I found a well-respected mobile groomer. The grooming is done in the van. It's pretty expensive and I don't know how much to tip. I'll post my question in the community here.

@Yahooey, your camping tour was fabulous! Boy oh boy, that food looks good!! Better than what I eat at home. I know I could not do that Ice Cave in this lifetime, but good for you! I'm glad you enjoyed it -- it looked like fun.

Sludge? You are asking for sludge? This is a real pic when I got my Vitamix over 2 years ago. It is still bubbling, ewww! And it does NOT taste better than it looks. I never tried making any of the items they showed in the presentation. NO ice cream, soup, salsa - what is wrong with me? @puglet11 don't you dare answer that, lol.

There are much better things to ask for. Some pics of past endeavors. I enjoy baking, not great at it but people tend to enjoy (although they could be lying).

Banana Cream Pie - Everything tastes better with real whipped cream. Hmmm sludge with cream on top?

What ingredients do use to make your sludge?

When I make duh sludge it comes out foamy and is difficult to drink.

I have the short smaller container 48 oz? - not the standard, you will see why I said that specifically. I add the ingredients in the order below

1 cup almond milk

1 banana

fill to 1-2" from the top of container w/kale - depend on how much kale I want to consume

1/2 cup of frozen blueberries

let it whirl - the Vitamix do chop everything up. No stringy veg. If I add proten powder in the beginning (haven't for a while) it does get foamy. To offset that, I just add the powder at the very end to get it mixed at low speed for a sec or so.

Hi Pancakers,

I dropped Mr. M off in the grooming van about 10 minutes ago. I'm sitting here now with pain in my stomach, trying to do some deep breathing. Been a wreck all day waiting for this appointment and I feel so horribly guilty. Mr. M thought he was going out walkies and he looked so bewildered when he wound up in the van in that strangers' arms. @butterfly123, I don't know if he will be feeling pampered and beautiful, but he will be getting some special treats when I pick him up in about an hour. I hope he doesn't hate me.

@Yahooey, no words for that pic of the, er, sludge (*cough, cough, gag*). Thank you for following it with those delectable pics of your baking prowess! I tried a kale smoothie -- once -- and that was enough. There was no amount of fruit that could take that vile taste away. I applaud you.
