This morning I woke up at 6:00 to go to the bathroom.  I looked at the chair beside my bedside table and saw very clearly Ava lying on her back on the chair having a seizure.  I said very quietly, "Oh no!  Ava!"  I adjusted my eyes and definitely felt like I was seeing her.  It was fairly dark in the room, but I could still see.

I hurried and turned the light on, and she was asleep on her bed not anywhere in line of vision of the chair.  It scared me so much, because I woke up to my last dog, Frankie, having a seizure and had to rush her to the ER.  She had a brain tumor.

@NickNack    Very strange.  Your brain must have still been somewhere between awakeness and still asleep so you saw Ava in another realm.  Thank goodness what you perceived was not reality.  Don't worry about it.

that must have been a horrible experience!  so sorry.  i sort of think tho, that the trauma of having seen this already with your other dog must be still lingering around in your subconscious.  hope it never happens to you again.

@NickNack    Something just occurred to me as I'm sure the incident with Frankie was traumatic for you.  Maybe PTSD?  The light and shadows may have played a part.

@Kachina624   That's very possible.  I'm sure it had something to do with Frankie.
