Are your birds getting on your nerves?

I have one who is constantly screeching, flying around ... plucking pellets from his bowl and throwing them all over the floor.

Then, there's the little bell he "fights" with all day ...

Geesh!

Because I work PT, I never thought about all the noise I miss while I'm away ...

There he goes ... now it's time for his morning singing ...

Everytime the phone rings ...

LOL!!! When I was a kid I had a parakeet that livet 9 years. He was a funny little guy but boy could he fight with the mirror and bells some days! Feathers and seed and water would fly everywhere!

If you have one of those gigantic red parrots, I can see where that might be an issue!

Hi @RinaRina This is just a thought - maybe the bird's routine is thrown off by you being home all of the time.

I'm accustomed to being around my birds 7 days a week since I retired two years ago.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

I just noticed something ...

When I leave the room, he goes back in his cage.

He doesn't come out of his cage until I return to the room.

LOL @RinaRina, that sounds like he is letting you know that he is not happy about you disrupting his routine while you are "house bound".

The eyes through which you see others may be the same as how they see you.

Hmmm ... he must think I'm invading his territory. LOL!

I'm having a hard time keeping him OFF my laptop keyboards and Monitors.

I see pics all over FB where peeps think their bird sitting on their computer equipment is "cute". My computers are off limits. So is the ceiling fan.

I guess when I was at work, he just did whatever he pleased. LOL!
