Re: Anyone Do Feral Cat Rescues?

Just wanted to add, be sure to use a raccoon trap. Anything smaller (like a squirrel trap) and you run the risk that his tail will prevent the trap from shutting properly and he may be able to back out. If he learns what the trap is for in that manner, it may be a long time before he lets down his guard again. Bless you and best of luck.

@Drythe  I have a feeling that he/she might be living here in the near future.  Not sure how that will go over with the rest of the crew.  First, we need to get him to the vet for a full checkup.  He did eat another can of tuna this afternoon and let me get about 3 feet from him before he jumped up on his wheel.  It is getting better, and I will see him twice tomorrow with more tuna.

@Drythe  I believe that I will be the only one here who thinks it is a WHEEEE!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Do NOT attempt to throw a blanket over him! You'll learn how fast cats can be. And how much he'll hold that against you.
