@KingstonsMom.  I've had several big and little Aussies and collies and the mini Aussies (now recognized as Mini American Shepherds by the AKC) are my favorites.  Piper was a rescue who made his way into collie rescue.  He's a young dog and came from Colorado...that's all I know about him.  He's quite a character.  Your pup is a better bred dog than Piper; I had a little girl who looked like your beauty.

The cat family seems to have totally disappeared today.  Piper checked out the hole and didn't react at all.  The kitten was gone this morning.  The mother should have moved the family to a more suitable home away from dogs and hopefully, coyotes.  Things are back to normal.

Sweet Piper is beautiful!  Very smart to care for the kitten & let you know.  Hopefully Animal Control will take it to a shelter to be cared for.  I hope it's Mom didn't abandon it.  Good luck Sweet Kitten.
