I donate to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison NJ.  They are a no-kill shelter.  Both my brother and I adopted our dogs from them.  St. Hubert's is wonderful.

There are indeed, but sadly small communities cannot always support the no-kill shelter so the shelter stops accepting animals, especially cats since they reproduce so quickly. Our community is now being over run with homeless cats, and we are finding puppies dumped n country roads. There has to be a happy medum somewhere, sure our community finds it. My heart bleeds for all the abandoned critters. . .and that is how we end up with 15 cats.
