Yes that is NOT unusual. They are called Harlequins. They can have a range of spots- either heavily spotted or lightly spotted, almost all white, and then everything in between.
This ad is listed here too, is this a Harlequin?
@KingstonsMom oooh this is a tough call as (for me) this gorgeous furbaby falls in between Mantle and Harlequin but I think maybe Harlequin is the correct decision . . . so happy to see this furbaby happily ensconced on his/her bed . . .
Doesn't she look so cozy?!
It would just kill me to part with a furbaby of mine and to be willing to "trade something" for her, just blows my mind. Here's the story on this one:
Due to my living arrangements I am no longer able to keep my beautiful and very tall Great Dane. She is very stunning and beautiful. Great house dog! House broken and All shots utd including rabies and comes with her vet records. She is 2. I am looking for a home who has experience with large dogs and no small kids bc of how big she is. rehoming fee. Open for trades just ask.

Oh @KingstonsMom she doesn't look very large but she does have some legs on her . . . may I ask what part of the country this gorgeous baby is looking for a home?

Go to Craigslist, select GA, then select Savannah/Hinesville, then Pets or:

okay that makes me ill- "open for trades" for your pet??? geez. I really hate when people get big dogs and then give them up because they can no longer afford them or can't take care of them. Everyone likes the idea of a big dog but no one wants to put the effort and expense into actually caring for them. Makes me sick. If she really cares about putting her beloved dog into a good home, she will give them to a Dane rescue without charging them a "rehoming fee". We shall see how much she really cares about placing her in good home that really knows how to care for a Dane. I will let them know about her as well. If I didn't already have my hands full, I'd look into taking her home myself.

I kind of wish I didn't read this thread. It makes me sick what people do to their pets and how they treat them like items rather than living beings with feelings. ![]()

Did anybody catch the inconsistencies in the ad?
First they said that the dog walks on a leash, then further down they said that the dog will NOT walk on a leash.
Also, first they said that it was a female that was spayed, then further down they said that it was neutered.
This whole thing sounds fishy to me.
Poor dog.
I do hope that someone rescues it, and gives it a good loving home that it deserves.

It's so obvious the dog has been painted. I feel sorry for the dog.

Disturbing. Who, in their right mind would paint a dog ?? This is abuse if you ask me. So many people don't deserve to have custody of an animal. Just think if these kooks had children??? This ad, if real, is only going to draw people of the same mental caliber. SMH

It's not real, I remember this picture from a year or so ago in an article talking about Halloween costumes for pets!
Google "great dane halloween costume," and you'll see a few different ones.
