@DSD2 @I guess that's part of the problem for me. I go out of my way to make each families members birthday a special day for them. The rest of my family and friends all made the day special in different ways and I appreciate that. I don't know if I should let this pass or confront him.

I don't give a hoot about MY birthday.  It has always just been another day to me.

Now,  if I was on my death bed and one of my children didn't come, well, That might upset me.  My birthday being forgotten would be no big deal to me.

I wouldn't do anything.  It happened to me just this year, when my 37 year old forgot my birthday for the first time ever.  He's a busy dad of two school age children, and my birthday falls right around the time school begins and life gets hectic. 

He did remember about 10 days later and apologized.  Even if this didn't happen, I'd have let it go.

I would be hurt, but would not let it ruin my birthday. I am sure there must be a very good reason why your child didn't acknowledge your birthday.

First off, Happy Birthday!

I'm sorry that happened to you.

Hopefully they'll come to their senses, apologize and wish you happy birthday.

I know I'm terrible about remembering what the date is and have forgotten or missed very important dates at times. Hopefully this is the case.....
