Loved the sit up seat!
The BEST gift, however was being able to get up out of BED from the C-section I had.. I couldn't sit up to get up.

$$. Money. I got many gifts that I never used and I had three children.
I did get a beautiful blanket from my SIL that I really enjoyed using.
Babies don't stay small enough long enough to use all the "stuff" people give you.

Due to a health issue I have not had children.
But both of my sisters have children and when they were babies they appreciated the diapers and then babysitting hours.
I did knit a blanket for one and for the other I knit baby booties and sweater in addition to the babysitting hours that I gave them.

My husband's cousin started coming to our house when our son was a month old. She would come a couple times a week with the sole purpose of allowing me to nap. I will always be grateful for her.

A small pink and white plaid fleece blanket/ cuddle toy with an embroidered white bunny head. My daughter was never without it at bedtime and also many times during the day. She still has it, at 38, much worse for wear. "Bunny Rab".

@nana59 : I never used a diaper pail. Would rinse and wash them by hand the best that I could. Then would put them in the sink next to the washer to soak overnite. To wash in the washer the next day.
