My DS and DIL are expecting my 1st grandchild in November. DDIL wants this stroller system. DS says it's to expensive. Does anyone here have any first hand knowledge about it?  Is it really worth the cost? Grandma and Grandpa may get it for them depending on our research.  It does have good safety and consumer reviews but is expensive!  TIA

Congratulations on becoming a grandma.  What a fun time. 

Having seen how a nice stroller combo works with little ones, I would say this is neither overpriced or unnecessary.  I really came to appreciate good durable wheels that pivoted freely and had good brakes.  Then you will also need a strong structure to hold all the little one's stuff.  The handle bar will have to hold a lot of weight and a cup/bottle holder is a must.  Sorry, but there is not really any way around the expense.

Just bumping this thread...there was a recall of 71,000 UPPAbaby stollers.  Read an article online yesterday.
