Re: Postpartum Depression and Surrogacy

Evie June was born last Thursday by c section. She was 6 pounds 6 ounces 18 1/2 inches. She is perfect. It was a difficult operation with a few difficulties , but mom is doing great. 5 years ago they thought they would not be able to have any children. We are so blessed and thrilled that after 5 years of fertility treatments they now have two beautiful daughters. Thank you for your prayers!

@embgm   Wishing your family well tomorrow for a healthy, happy baby!

I had a little boy born at seven months after being diagnosed with placenta previa and having to had bed rest for several months prior to delivery.   He was small and had to be transported to a larger hospital for treatement but everything turned out fine.   That was in 1972 so I can only imagine the advances made in treatment today.

Prayers for you all.  Heart

Thank you for your well wishes!. My sons first daughter was delivered by emergency c section at 30 weeks weighing 3 pounds 3 ounces due to preeclampsia She spent a long time in the NICU before she could come home. Today she is a wonderful active 2 year old. It's truly amazing to witness the IVF process from beginning to end. I have pictures of both of my granddaughters as embryos before they were transferred into my dil. We are so blessed to have these miracles in our lives.

Re: Postpartum Depression and Surrogacy

It is sad that so many politicians want to ban IVF. If a couple wants to have children, they should have access to this transformational procedure.

Re: Postpartum Depression and Surrogacy

My husband was in military and we were stationed in Germany when I had my first child. I didn't have a clue when it came to taking care of a newborn. No family to help and my sweet little boy had his nights and days mixed up. I didn't have postpartum depression, but, didn't sleep much and felt very alone and overwhelmed.
