Both of my sons got married in summer 2015. Tried to keep it somewhat light so I wouldn't cry. First wedding was "Stand by Me" by B.E. King. Second wedding was "I Wish You Love" by Sinatra. (need to delete fthe first part of the song)  Both went well and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I had this easy! I always knew what our song would be! My ds was born on Valentine's Day so we danced to "My Funny Valentine" which I sang to him from birth. It was always our song!

My sil's mom chose, "Oh Danny Boy" as his name is Daniel. After the wedding he told her what the song was about!🙄

How about after the dance you go hug and kiss your new DIL?  Let everyone there know you are accepting  her into the family.  It might be the best thing you've ever done for your son.  Or take her hand and give her to him for the next dance.  How wonderful would that be?  

I hear so many sad stories here about MIL's who try to compete with the DIL's.

My son picked this for our dance as well.  I didn't know which song he had chosen until the music began.

We sang it to each other as we were dancing.  A very special moment!

We chose an upbeat song by James Taylor, "How Sweet It is To Be Loved By You"......for a happy dance.
