I've seen adult children (male & female) lose patience and be condescending with aging parents. It's not pretty.
I'm sure the letter wouldn't be well received.
I think it has valid points adult children should reflect on before spout off to the parents that raised them.

I'm going thru some of this now....it's so sad and unfair to my mom. :'(

I know that this is a letter from a mother to her daughter, but it could also be from a father to their adult child.
I'm taking care of my 87 year old father, and his pace has slowed, he repeats himself, and it does get frustrating at times. But this letter is a good reminder to try to see things from where he is.
