Does anyone have any recommendations for gifts for a 7 year old boy for Christmas? My grandson is very bright and loves sports but I have no idea what to get him. They live far away and we haven't seen them since last Christmas. His sister loves princesses and art so I can come up with things for her but he is harder and I thought maybe some Moms on here have 7 year old boys and could suggest some things. My daughter in law did give me some ideas but I want to get a few more things. Thanks!!!

LEGO sets. They usually tell you ages for each set.

Honestly, I'd just stick with what was suggested. They may have given other suggestions to the other grandparents and are trying to make sure there aren't duplicates. They may also be trying to make sure their kids aren't spoiled.

@Baylie Just give what his mom suggested. I'd respect that and she may not have the time or the patience now to deal with more small toys and stuff. He's little and will be happy. And his mom will be happy and YOU will be happy!

This has nothing to do with sports (and my grandson is huge on sports) but I gifted my grandson the Berkshire blanket Cuddly Buddy Character Blanket (H221123) when he was 7. We live in the Midwest so in the winter he would wrap up in that blanket when he got up in the morning or before bed when he was cold. He’s 11 now and still wraps up in it. It ended up being a great gift.

@Baylie I agree w/what others have said, go w/you rDIL suggestions.
If you want to do something "extra" tell your GS to snail mail you a list of everything he wants for Christmas. It's what I do w/mine.

My daughter in law gave me some suggestions, She certainly doesn't mind us buying other things too.

If he's big into sports, you could make him one of those fleece tie blankets with his team colors or logo. They don't take very long to make, material is usually on sale alot at JoAnns, Micheals, Walmart and make it as personal as you can to his likes.

@Baylie RC (remote control) car. My grands loved them, both girls and boys. They loved remote control animals too. Can be pricey but so can Lego and all kids enjoy them.

My son is 7 and he loves Lego sets, Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, stomp rockets, and Nerf guns.
