My first son was like this.  Mom said I was too and gave me the cutest little hot water bottle (same one she used on me).   I would put warm water (not hot) and put it on my lap and lay my son tummy down on it.   

 

I am glad Mom told me this.  I would not give a young baby sugar.  However, at 2 months, I did start giving him a teaspoon of baby rice cereal at bedtime.  He loved it and it settled his tummy.
