Re: Any diaper rash magic tricks?

Hi Sunnyskies!  Your poor little grandchild. 3 of my grandkids had bad rashes from the actual diapers. My daughter had to use organic diapers for a little while and that really helped. Expensive but it worked. Might be worth a try. Hope she's better soon.  Cindy

Balmex is the balm! The stuff below is pretty good too.

Definitely Desitin.  Apply thickly.  Butt Paste looks good too.  A&D is good for daily use, but for bad rash, other products are needed.

Etsy has shop owners who sell organic and pure baby rash cream. It also works well on sensitive skin.

Re: Any diaper rash magic tricks?

Desitin always worked for us.

But at this age and given it is sporadic, I would keep a food log for her.  My guess is food related.

A & D Ointment was the only product that worked on my son when he was a baby.  I still keep a tube for skin irritations.

Desitin or A & D ointment - either is really good.

I used to use A & D ointment on my kids, but if it got really bad I used Eucerin Cream.  It's super thick and makes a barrier on the skin while the rash heals.

I also recommend being outdoors with no diaper. Depends on where baby lives and current temp but being exposed to fresh air will help immensely. Also, allow baby to sit in warm bath with dissolved baking soda, one to two tablespoons.
