I have read on our blog that during Louis's show that ladies put some items away by payment by check.

I am traveling and won't be home for a week and half, so I don't want packages piling up at my door with no one at home. I've put couple of items on the check payment. How long can I keep it this way before QVC will cancel my order?

@vickybliss Call customer service and they can answer that.I once called to see if there was anyway to delay a shipment and that was what they suggested.I can't remember how long they said they would hold waiting for the chewue though.

@vickybliss.    If I am not going to be home I ask UPS and the USPS hold all my mail.   They are both glad to do it.   Everything is delivered on my designated date of return.  I have done this for years and it always works for me.   I just returned from a short trip and I now have my saved packages this AM.

Hi @vickybliss  QVC asks that you mail your check as soon as possible and it must be received within 15 days of placing your order.

@vickybliss, what @Gram W said. USPS has a yellow card to fill out with stop & restart date. When I visit the Post Office, I grab a few to keep at home. You can even hand them off to your post person who will turn them in. And if you are visiting another post office that is not in your town, the people at the counter will send it on to your post office too.

UPS you can either call their 1-800-PICK UPS or do it online to change delivery. There is a small fee to change the date which can be paid by CC.

@JustJazzmom.   I have never been charged a fee by UPS.   I just call and make my request giving them at least 24 hours notice.

I keep a supply of the yellow postal cards in the glovebox of my car ready for use.

I have the USPS hold my mail regularly, and it can all be done online!

You can go to USPS.com and do an online request to hold mail.  The days of yellow cards are over.  They will also pick up pre-paid packages, saving you a trip to post office to mail them.
