Update on Lace Pants: No Stretch, says Louis!

For everyone who was speculating, Louis just posted this in response to  question about comparing the Sequined Pants and the Lace Pants (emphasis added):

"….I can’t compare them because the sequin pant is a knit. The lace has to be considered as a woven because there isn’t any stretch. so check out the click here measurements, and whichever part of your body is the largest make sure the measurement will work for you."

Hope that helps in selecting your appropriate size!

I received the lace pant in indigo.  I purchased my usual Linea pull on pant size.  I should have gone up a size.  I bought the petite and I thought the rise was a little short.  Definitely check hip measurement as suggested.  You lose the flowy look of the pant if they just fit.  I bought them before reading Louis’ note.

@ceicei50
Thanks for sharing your fit experience! I really need to check measurements before I order.

Just curious how tall you are? I’m 5’5” and am wavering whether to get the petite or regular.

I'm "officially" 5'4" (on my license)---but actually less than that now with age---possibly as short as 5'3". I always get whatever Petite Pants Louis does....and may even have to shorten if I want to wear with flats...we'll see. I guess it depends on how long your legs are, too. If you are unsure, put the alternative size on Checkhold until you are sure---you don't want to risk a sell out....then you can cancel the Checkhold if you don't need them.

I am 5’3” and the petite seemed fine.  It would depend if you are short or long waisted.  Hope that helps you. I would measure the inseam on a pair of Linea that works for you.

Thank you both for your input. I also wear higher heels which adds to the confusion. I have some measuring to do later today. 😊

I was the person who asked about the sequin pants fit vs. lace fit.  Clearly I need to go with my larger Linea pants size.
