Re: Trench coat sizing question---apologize in advance for rehash of this question!

I received this coat in black yesterday. I am so pleased with this garment. I think I will wear and wear it. I am between a 6 and 8 and I went with the 8. It will work with sleveless or a sweater. i am a 36B. I have been looking for a Trench coat to replace my old one from Talbots and this one is really nice. I think this coat fits very true to size.

[ Edited ]

My size 10 olive trench coat just arrived and to quote Joe Kenda, "My my my......"!!!!!  It is a beauty and fits well.  I think I could have worn a size 8 just as easily, but this one will accommodate anything I want to wear underneath.  The shoulders are perfect, the sleeves a tiny bit long---the place it is the largest on me is below the waist---which makes no difference at all.  I love it belted in the front especially, but like the look of it belted in the back too.  One of my absolute favorite features is the choice of belt loop positions.   I am long-waisted and they are placed exactly right for me.  I also love the very deep pockets!!

Although everyone described the fabric and weight well, I was still surprised by its lovely hand and substance.  Living in coastal Virginia, I really think this coat will take me through most of the winter, except for the VERY COLDEST of days

.

Thanks again to everyone for helping me decide on a size.  Your advice was  extremely helpful and CORRECT!

Off to admire my new coat and all its details a bit more. Smiley Very HappySmiley Very HappySmiley Very Happy
