The Coquette Skirt....A74708

It arrived!

Due to limited sizing I had to order down a size but the fit is perfection and oh my this is so lovely and classy and fun!  One of those skirts where you instantly feel feminine and look down at the array of delicate twining flowers and simply feel better all of a sudden because you are seeing something so lyrical and beautiful.

It wasn't an item I had to have when it came out so I passed on it, but now that there will be no more Linea here I decided to try it and am so glad I did.

I am 5'3" size L and I tried it on with tall black Marc Fisher flat boots, and the new Linea black WK sweater  A385140

It looked amazing.  DH loved it, loved.  For summer the options are endless with simple flats and all sorts of casual tank/jackets or tops or even something dressy like the black satin tank and the tuxedo jacket and black high boots for a very dressy winter look, oh wow.

Wish I still could wear heels as sheer black hose or dotted hose and a great pair of dress heels would be stunning.

All in all, a super nice post-Christmas surprise in the mail, sigh, happy me.

Re: The Coquette Skirt....A74708

I just received this skirt, after admiring it for a long time.  At the sale price, it was a sure thing. Got the large.  A work of art, as many have said.  I have the buttercream and perfectly pink faux suede jackets, from last year.  Both will go beautifully with it.  Also snagged the pleated blouses in pink and ivory, which I think were made to go with the skirt.  Will be fun to come up casual combos.

Love this skirt. For casual my easy options are Safari shirt sets in P Pink and Dark Olive. Still have the P Pink Denim jacket but think I have aged out of that.

I'm glad you like the skirt. I have it on waitlist, which means I probably won't receive it.

Love this skirt!  Be sure to get the coquette necklace too as it was made for this skirt and really completes this outfit!  I like to wear a black WK sweater or the black riding jacket with the skirt. I will wear the new black ruffle blouse with it in warmer weather.

I agree with @mam2fourboys
Grab the coquette necklace if you can. Or grab it when it goes on sale.
I will have to consider getting the black ruffle blouse to go with it (I only have the plum so far).
Gorgeous skirt!

Re: The Coquette Skirt....A74708

author,

You are a successful "influencer," as they term those who move us to action.  When you first wrote about the Coquette skirt and that you were going to buy it since the price was magnificently reduced and you'd always had your eye on it, I followed suit and bought it, too.

Yes, I'd had my eye on it, plus I already owned the Coquette necklace.  When my skirt arrived, the first thing I did was to pull out my Coquette necklace to see the way its colors picked up those of the skirt.  What a delight!  Love the extra luxury of having a perfectly coordinating necklace.

As you wrote, the skirt is a beauty.  My size L fits perfectly.  I have a black Linea top from years ago (that came with a matching skirt) that has a V-neck and chiffon sleeves.  That is the top I plan to wear with the skirt for dressier occasions.  In hotter weather, I have a black short-sleeved, V-neck top to pair up with the skirt.

Thank you for the nudge.
