@sueinsf I sized up and glad I did. My hips are slightly larger than the bust and I think you have to size to your hip measurement. In a coat that belts & cinches, you should be just fine on top. But, that's my experience. I'm sure others will weigh in with their advice on sizing.

I know this isn't a raincoat but those that own it and got caught in the rain has there been any problems with the material afterwards?

I was in Nordstrom and saw a Burberry trench that's pretty close to the color of LDO's burgundy one. It's a lightweight wool with a thicker lining but otherwise has the identical bells and whistles of the Linea version.

Tan and black are good neutral colors. I did order two colors of this Linea trench when it was introduced last year, the navy and the burgundy.  For a future purchase I am looking for a little bit more length in a trench coat.

A few of us asked Louis for a long version of the trench and he said he'd submit one, but that the buyers make the final decision. We shall see...

I have a well worn and much-loved maxi length black wool gaberdine trench that I've owned for more than 20 years now. Bought it in London. It's accompanied me on just about every business trip and I've even thrown it over fancy outfits for black tie events. The lining is frayed now, which I'm going to get estimates on replacing this year. I'd love to add another long version in a British tan.

With how popular this short trench has been, I hope the buyers OK a Linea longer style that's water repellant.

I have the navy from last year but I won't buy any more until a longer version comes out (fingers crossed!).
