I have not ordered composition jacket as of yet.  I cannot decide which color to get. I like the tobacco/black the best, but it looks very similar to my topaz/black tortoise jacquard jacket.

Thought I'd only order the black and white composition jacket but after seeing it on the 2am show I also had to order the tobacco. It's such a beautiful piece.

Thanks! I think it is very sharp, I just question the sleeve length as I have long arms. When I see it on Jac and the other model, the sleeves look too short, imo.

I might take a chance. Enjoy your new goodies too!

I noticed the sleeve length also.  It would be almost 3/4 length on me - not my favorite.

I love Pat but she looked really awful in that dress.  I think it is only for the very thin.

I couldn't  disagree with you more. I thought Pat looked fabulous in the dress. Different strokes.

Re: New items up

I purchased the dress initially in two sizes. The larger fit me similar to the way it looked on Pat. It was larger in the body and eh, really didn't do anything really special...the smaller size knocked my socks off. Like it was a completely different garment, night and day. I looked svelte and believe me, I'm not and never will be. Yet there I was looking long and lean and loving the difference the smaller size made. I believe that the sophistication is in the simplicity of the design. Even the upward angle of the pockets eludes to the hourglass shape of a small waist and the curve of the hips without actually revealing the  body's shape. I think it's genius. I hate buying two sizes yet in this instance it paid off. It's even a little bit sexy in a modest understated way. A big win for me. Also told my BFF to size down and she had the same identical experience.

Maybe she just picked too big of a size.  It certainly did not do her any favors.

@DiAnne

I know Pat's dress was Louis Dell Olio's chemise dress.  She clearly pulled the wrong size.  She could have taken a size smaller.

I tend to agree with you about possibly picking the wrong size. Around the shoulder and underarm and back seemed somewhat gape-y there too, to my eye.  The word 'stovepipe' comes to mind when I try to describe how this dress fits and feels. A straight linear drop from the shoulder into a sleek line. No excess material, very clean and cylindrical.

I did order the chemise dress in the slate green in 2 sizes and I just viewed the recorded AM program. I agree, the dress didn't flatter Pat well in the size she wore. I'm glad Louis pointed out that one of the models was wearing an incorrect size -- one size larger than her usual size.

It's very frustrating to buy online and it becomes more difficult when incorrect sizes are chosen for models.

@JustJazzmom

Did you have a similar experience with your two sizes? Did one make a remarkable difference in the fit and appearance for you?

This is such an understated dress. I'd hate for to be lost to missizing issues. It can be so simply chic. I would like to see additional colors if it survives. Although its original presentation was very nice. (sans the host)
