@golding76  - I so understand how that happened to you!  Such memories!  Nina and Vlad sound wonderful!

 

When we had special dinners, the minute a guest walked in the front door they had a shot of šljivovica (Plum Brandy).  And the toast is always živio - Live!

 

Ah Yes!  And SO MUCH FOOD!  My Mother would prepare a sit-down dinner for 40 guests - and absolutely everything was home made - served Home Style.  There was always lots of meat - we are major meat eaters - Lamb, Beef, Pork, and Cabbage Rolls (made with sauerkraut cabbage leaves and meat).  And everyone always had room for dessert!  Apple Strudel, Crepes and Walnut Torte.

I am now obsessed with this dress! And it seems that the rest of the world is as well. It is sold out everywhere. The price tag is around $680. The print is what I am especially drawn to. Silk. OMG! That's why the colors are so gorgeous. 

Thanks for sharing with us @golding76 . I love all of the stories in this thread.

I will be having dreams about this print.
