I am so sad to see that the big deal was not a success. I love Louis and most of his designs but this big deal only appealed to a few. I have never cared for any boarder print or anything with bell sleeves.  The sleeves are always in my way and I can’t push them up and frankly that bugs me. Border prints have never appealed to me, in my eye they cut the body off and I prefer a long flowing line.

I will say my favorite pants, the super ponte slim leg is on clearance and my size are gone. Thank goodness I stocked up and bought multiples before my size sold out. These are my all time favorite, go to pants. I am so sad they are not being reordered in more colors. I guess it just goes to show even the best designer can’t please all the people all the time!

I’m excited to see the new lace pants coming next week and look forward to what my favorite designer has in store for us!

Very sad to hear of Louis losing his brother.  Seems things are just not going well right now.  But tomorrow is a new day and spring does bring all things bright and anew.

I love those Slim Ponte Pants, too, as do many others. Since the Q put them on Clearance he can't reorder the exact pant, but ff he changes it slightly, then it is a "new" pant and given a new item number. So perhaps a lightly different fabrication, or something, that will make it "new" might do the trick.  We'll have to ask him on his Blog.

I just wish everyone saw the Big Deal through my eyes.

For me, it is an exquisite beauty and a triumph in so many respects.  I, a pear, found that the border blended in with a darker bottom without causing any mischief.

How do you know that it was not a success. I have not even received mine yet.

Goldie, I agree with you 100%. I received my tops in the mint and ivory along with the scarves and they are really beautiful. When I tried them on with navy pants the border just blended into the pant. I think this looks so expensive, and the fabric feels wonderful on. I got the xs and the fit is great.

I guess you are referring to the fact that all colors are still available in all sizes? They may have just ordered too much of what is hardly a basic item with limited appeal. The typical big deal/tsv tends to be more of a staple item where sellouts are common.

I hope I am assuming to fast. I stated this due to no size or color is sold out. I was really hoping it was only me that didn’t care for border prints. I really wanted him to do a sell out thinking it would help him get a tsv soon. Maybe I’m wrong and hopefully I am.

The mint called my name before it hit the air. The blue is still waving at me! And no, the border print does not ruin anyone's figure. It's gorgeous! Louis added the navy to hide any flaws and make the line flow evenly . . . and it does. He's a genius in design. That's why we buy from him!

It's not unusual for Big Deals not to sell out. There could be 50 pieces and it would show up as avail. I think you did assume too soon. I love mine and the reviews have all be good.
