In my newspaper this morning, this image of a Nina McLemore evening jacket caught my eye. It is so Linea, don't you think?
I wonder if Louis could whip up something similar for us...

I love it!

I love it too but only if the collar could lie flat. I've never liked stand-up collars.

I owned a coat similar to this that I got at Coldwater Creek. I wore it a few times, but it was something I didn't wear too often, so I donated it.
It is a beautiful coat

I hate to be nitpicky, but there are several errors in the advertisement that I copied and pasted above.
Did a Post proofreader "correct" what was originally correctly written? Sadly, I often see evidence of this in my newspaper these days. Lower salaries sometimes attract and hold less capable personnel.

Should read: This fabric does not wrinkle. Great for Winter or resort parties.

It's the same wording on the shop.ninamclemore website:

Homegirl,
That is where I found the material I cut and pasted. Those sorts of advertisements do not show up in the online Post.
My error; I led you astray with my comment about the Post, which does have faulty proofreading these days, but the info is from the Nina McLemore site. Woe is me.
My apologies. I need to proofread my own thoughts.
[There was also the "Signature Stand Up Nina Color."
I'm certain they intended "Collar" and not "Color," plus "Stand-up" should be hyphenated and "up" not capitalized when part of this unit modifier.]

It's voice recognition. The spelling is what the spoken word sounds like to voice recognition. The voice recognition was proofed in California and my understanding (and I did help train VR) was that English and spelling would go as California goes. If you notice, California sets the tone and tune for everything.
Remember when you used to get these emails with words misspelled but you could understand what it was meant to say. That is what I am told the future will be like for spelling, verbiage and punctuation which will have little impact on sentence structure.
I have noticed that even in public and private schools of recent years. Some, even the top graduates who get into the ivy and kudzu league schools have no idea where commas and periods go in their sentence structure. It is obvious there was very little attention paid to their English skills, probably just as long as they passed their tech courses.
As an English major who cared so long and seeing as how the PTB don't care, then frankly, my dear I no longer give a **** because I have spent my years teaching something that no one cared about. Just so long as it fits with Technology, it's okay (in their opinion). It requires fewer people teaching and speaking proper English and/or proofreading.
