I've decided it isn't really "objective" that is, that an item does not actually look good on me, but "subjective" —for whatever reason, if I don't like the way it looks, or feels, I won't choose it and it becomes a waste.

 

On that note, I just returned the otherwise delightful chenille sweater. Didn't like the way it hung. A chenille thing, I suspect. Sigh.


@1Professor  it is definitely a perception and if it's negative, as you say we won't get use out of it. A friend once said "a bargain isn't a bargain if you aren't going to use it" which I think applies to this coat in my case.

 

Didn't you get 2 chenille sweaters? Did you return noth. Ir cancel one earlier? I totally understand.  I really love that item but if you don't, then back it should go.
