I agree, they are getting shorter, and I am tall. What looks good on Amy does not look good on me. I look at Jacque and if it looks short and wide on her. I am not interested. Nowadays, most of the tops are not covering the parts I want covered. The TSV was a no-go LOGO, and the cute short sleeve top from last night was too short in the front. In the summer, I dont want to layer as much. If it had been a tad longer in the front I would have bought it. But the tall girls, showed their upper thighs and lower stomach in it. It did look perfect on the short gals. If I were short, I would have loved the top. I am not into the short squarish tops she is showing. I really did not like the short square top with the crooked under camisole. That looked bad on everyone, even beautiful Brenda who looks great in everything. Short square, looks bad on women......architecturally I always loved LOGO. Now getting picky. But when Lori gets in right...she is still way ahead of most designers.

That outfit is adorable, @Pearlee! Looks great on Brenda!
@Pearlee - That did look great, but I have more than enough to go with my skirt. Just as I say "no more maple" I saw the lace scarf on the Late Night Special in maple. Kind of tempted, but it is still kind of pricey.
Well I found your post about the maple scarf now @Biftu.
I just tried mine on. Oh, my, I just love it! You will too. Boy did the photo online ever do this scarf an injustice! Frankly, it's not as bulky as the plain Fr. terry scarves of hers we own, that clearly are outdoor scarf weight (although you can wear them indoors). This one is a lighter weight - not bulky at all - and perfectly suitable as indoor wear with outfits.
It's really beautiful and has made me realize just how much her maple color has changed/varied (as you found out with your new skirt). This is her original dark brown maple - maybe even closer to what she is now calling oak. It's a beautiful color, although I'm not really seeing any pink tinge to it as I do in some of her maple. It is definitely dark brown and the lace is really gorgeous and good quality lace. Thanks so much for alerting me to my beautiful new purchase. It's deifnitely worth the still-pricey-$30.

@Pearlee - Just found your review of the scarf and happy to hear it is a positive one. Glad to hear it is not bulky which makes it more versatile. I do hope the color will still look nice with my other maple pieces even though you mention it is the darker maple. Hopefully mine will arrive tomorrow.

@Biftu Lori's maple has really gotten lighter. In fact, I was thinking the other day that now it reminds me more of cocoa, esp. maple in Fr. terry, than it does of maple.
The scarf is dark, and will have to be worn to be "tonal" with her lighter maple. Although I think it's probably an exact - or near exact - match to the maple in her cotton slub eyelet lace top, which I have in the maple/topaz but I don't think you have. The one we both also have in nickle/chamomile (which goes with macrame). But I think the scarf will look great with my dark maple eyelet top. I don't think her maple in the Fr. terry is nearly as dark; as I say, more like her cocoa.

@Pearlee - Agreed, that skirt I got in maple was much lighter. I do have that top in the maple/topaz which I got As Is last year. Tonal will work, but would be happier if it matched. Oh well, like I said, we will make it work. I'm glad we have it in our wardrobe.

@Biftu Did you get your maple scarf in the mail today?

@Pearlee - I did. You are right, the color is a darker maple shade. I haven't tried it next to my maple pieces, but can see it is a bit darker. I'm glad to have it regardless as it is really pretty and not heavy which is easier to wear as an indoor piece as well as outdoor in three seasons. I'll have to start playing with ways to tie it so the pretty lace shows at its best. I'm glad I got this scarf.

@Biftu I'm glad you like it too. That photo really doesn't do it justice! I like it better than the all-Fr. terry scarves I have of hers in quite a few colors. I do love the dark brown and think that's what her maple started out as (with a pink-ish tinge to it). Like you I need to work with it so it's mostly the beautiful lace that shows in front. Enjoy it! I'm glad we both purchased it.

@Biftu Our maple scarf is on primetime specials again. Same price as we paid and free S&H again. Thinking about the white now....
The eyelet slub top is also on primetime special now at a really good price. I would get redwood but the mediums are sold out.

@Pearlee - Both are tempting but I have the white in the other scarf and I never wear it. i am really tempted to get the redwood top but how many of these can I own!
