what kind of vanilla extract does David Venable recommend ?

I remember he said he used a certain kind, and was always disappointed when he doesn't use it. Does anyone know what kind it was? TIA

This is the one I use. The flavor is fabulous and you don't need to use as much since it's double strength.

Madagascar Vanilla

I agree with nomless. Another name for it is Bourbon Vanilla. (Named for the islands, not the booze)

I only use Mexican Pure Vanilla. I have a friend get it for me.

I always use pure vanilla extract; no imitation vanilla. Have only used McCormick or Wilton brands. Have a bottle of Wilton's now, and it does say Madagascar on it.
