One of the best selections of wine I ever bought was at Santa Maria Costco ( in California wine country).  I wanted to purchase a case as a Christmas gift for our older son, who is a trained chef.  The wine buyer was on the Costco floor and put together a case of his four favorites ( three bottles each).  Interesting fact: some of the wines Costco sells are less than if you purchased them at vineyards.  Our gift was very well received!
