My mother made these sandwiches for my lunch box when I was a kid and still love them.  She called them vegetable sandwiches; they were messy and delicious... I prefer to use potato bread now, preferably home made, sliced carrots, sliced celery, sliced radishes, lettuce, mayo.  I just love this sandwich....

Mine is having Ketchup on my fried eggs. I like vinegar with my French fries, but that's a usual Canadian thing.

@StylishLady  I'll take Texas Pete hot sauce on my fried egg or omelet; adore vinegar on french fries.....

Peeled, halved cucumbers with seeds scooped out and tuna put in them like boats...very filling and great for the diet...plain tuna or a tuna salad mixture....delicious!

Haven't had it in years, but loved this--- fairly thick slice of bologna fried until edges were blackened.  Also, when I make meatloaf and put catsup on it and next to it on the plate I love some cottage cheese that has some catsup on it too.   Another thing is taking a teaspoon with vanilla ice cream and dip it in coffee and eat from the spoon as it melts.

I like my pancakes or waffles with either fruit preserves (like apricot, blueberry, blackberry) or fresh fruits....no syrup of any kind

@ScarletDove - That's not odd . . . it's delicious! I'm often told that I'm weird because I love real maple syrup on waffles, pancakes, and French toast, but nothing else, and in all other areas, I hate anything with a maple flavor or scent.

Re: odd or weird combos you like

Growing up, I ate cottage cheese with ketchup.  I wouldn't touch it now as I'm just not that fond of ketchup.

I haven't eaten this in probably 20 years but I used to like cottage cheese with apple sauce on top.  It still sounds good.

I always use Tobasco sauce (or some other hot sauce) on my scranbled eggs or omelette.  I don't think that's so unusual though.

ITA,

While I don’t eat Spam because I don’t eat meat, it is always a good idea to actually read the ingredients before deciding that a product contains gross, unhealthy ingredients.

@Drythe - Yep. And although I love pork, I'm not going to pretend SPAM is ever my first choice of how to eat it; my father grew up eating fried SPAM with all his brothers and sisters since they were poor and my father's mother wasn't a great cook, so my family just has a soft spot for it...  Smiley Wink
