is it really this hard to find a great potholder?

or is it that I'm just looking in the wrong places? you know pot holders are one of those everyday things you never think about until you just suddenly realize you need new ones. mine are really old and have just had it, but I never imagined that it would be this hard to find replacements. I've looked in all kinds of places. department stores, kitchen stores , discount stores, T J Maxx, Marshalls, Kohls. I've looked online, catalogs. everything I've found has been thin, cheaply made junk.

do people even use pot holders anymore? maybe not. maybe that's why I can't find a good one.

do you use potholders? where do you buy yours?
