I bought it for my sister for Christmas as one of her gifts. I am also a library fanatic. I will get on the wait list, and make copies of a few. I barely buy cookbooks to keep anymore.

If I have any complaint about it, it would only be that I wish that it had been spiral bound so that it will lay open on the kitchen counter.
I buy mostly ebooks now, but I agree spiral bound cookbooks are much nicer. I wonder if people think it looks cheaper or something.

Too many items that will have to be specially bought for a recipe, too many items our town will not have, and too many I will have to adapt in order to use....serving amounts, cooking items ( a 10x10 pan???) and a big pressure cooker section that I will have to change to slow cooking or oven. I knew there was a chapter on it, but still, since I do not own one and will never, I have to change the recipe to work. Looks like I will only use 10-15 recipes out of all of them. Not a bargin for me. But, I do congratulate him on another best seller.
you've stated all my concerns, and I'm with you on them. Love even just reading cookbooks, but you made this clear of what it would be for me,.,...thank you.

I find that I have to read cookbooks many times of a period of years. Things that don't appeal to me today may appeal to me a year from now.
I can't flip through a cookbook and think I will only make 3 recipes out of it. Maybe only 3 will jump out at me, but others I will warm up to later. Plus, some recipes just inspire other dishes/meals even if I don't eat them.

That could be debc. I have, however, seen cookbooks that are spiral bound but the binding is covered by a strip of paper that blends right in to the cover of the book. So, when it's on a bookshelf, it looks like a regular book but is still easier to use.

Road atlas' are also really nice if they're spiral bound.

I did not buy the first cookbook and I certainly won't buy this one. Why does he get months and months to advertise his cookbooks and yet the other cooks on his show often sell out in just a few minutes? Says something, I'm sure, and it isn't just that he has lots more books available. Talk about chutzpah, getting another host to promote the book so he can talk about himself and his cookbook.
