everything old is new again...

Pyrex is bringing back the "Visions" line—anyone remember this?

This unique see-through glass material, which was designed for space travel purposes later came to be adapted for cooking use for its extreme temperature resistant property.

I had a saucepan which I didn't like, but I can't remember why.

Oh yes, I bought a set for the only apartment I ever lived in. For some reason (maybe it was so heavy) I got rid of my set. I stayed in the apartment seven years though!

I have Visions.....

3 same color as shown in pic- 5 qt pots (Currently, I only use them when I cook greens and melt sugar for lemonade.

1 - tiny pot (the only time I use it is to melt butter for my popcorn)

I purchased all of the above 20 yrs ago off of eBay for $11.  It was my 1st & last bid that I've ever won!

1 purple  large casserole bowl

1 purple small casseroles bowl

Not sure where I purchased the above from.  It was over 20 yrs ago.  I only use them when I cook ox tails.

EDIT:  Now I remember where I go the 2 casserole's bowls from.....FLEA MARKET!  $1.00 each. Smiley LOL

I had these in three sizes and used the smallest in my microwave. I found them to be too heavy as I became older.

My mom bought me a set. I remember food sticking every time I used it.

I don't remember this, but I'm a fan of amber colored glass.  Pretty!

Re: everything old is new again...

i remember this line well.  i hated it. As i remember everything cooked hot and fast in it.

Can't remember wether or not things stuck (as another poster mentioned)

i think i got a set for xmas or some such, (i'm sure i asked for it) and then ended up getting rid of it.

I have been re-buying pyrex, and corning ware.  Prices on both have shot up to head shaking prices. (you want how much???)

Re: everything old is new again...

I remember my mother having them when I was a teenager.  She hated them.  We had hard water and she boiled water to make pasta and they were no longer crystal clear. She sold them at a yard sale.

Years later I think there were news stories saying they exploded when cooked in?
