@homedecor1   Those dishes look delicious!  I really appreciate the pics too!  I'm never quite sure how things are supposed to look at this stage when reading a plain recipe.  If I may ask, what do you include in the cabbage rolls?  My mom and dad would really love these.  I'd love both, but would be inclined to stick with the lasagna because it's my favorite food, yum!!!

@cheriere

I used 3 lbs ground chuck.  Mixed in 1 1/2c. cooked rice, 2 eggs and seasoning.

I par boil the cabbage until it's pliable -- then stuff & roll.

For the sauce I use 1 lg can purée, 1 lg can sauce and  1 lg can sauerkraut (rinsed) and 2 cups of water cabbage boiled in for the flavor.

Hope this helps @cheriere

That's so true I learned from my grandmothers, aunts and mother who were ALL great cooks.

@homedecor1   That's a wonderful recipe.  In fact, the best I've read about.  I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to share it with me.  I think I have all of those ingredients too.  😃❤️💕

Re: enjoying cooking with my cousin

@homedecor1 I had some made like this in New Jersey, years ago, but I have never forgotten that wonderful taste!

Haven't found it since!  Maybe this is it!  Thanks!

Thank you. I am so tempted to make it but never tried.

I had stuffed cabbage at a Polish Festival for the first time, a few years ago. I fell in love. But they haven't had the festival for years because of Covid. So I guess I will have to try and make it myself.

I wanted a tried and true recipe.

I'm a jersey girl so this is the only way I was taught.

Enjoy😊
