Re: do you use coffee mugs as decor?

I don't decorate with them but have waaaay too many. I'm a collector but the thing is you can only drink out of one at a time, lol.

@smoochy,

That's so cute. I can tell you enjoy themSmiley Happy

I don't like too many cups because I never want to put any on top of one another or move too many around. Plus I like light ones. I have some pretty porcelian ones from England that I got at Homegoods and those are my favorite.

The one I just like to look at is one from a neighbor-it is of a cat and the ceramic and glaze on it feels so nice too. I watched their beautiful cats one week while they were away.

I do have a lot of snowmen and deers thoughWoman LOL

I do decorate with some of my cute coffee mugs, right now I have a pumpkin mug out with candy corn in it, and then I'll change it out in December with a cute Christmas mug filled with Hershey kisses. It just gives me a way to use some of the extra festive mugs I have.

Re: do you use coffee mugs as decor?

First it was Pioneer Woman for awhile.  I passed those mugs along to my sister and have a little regret, just a little. Then I went through a Rae Dunn phase for a minute. I had a large collection of mugs displayed vertically on some shelves.  I eventually pared it down to 8 mugs, which is still more than we need, but I like the words on them.  On top of that, I've started picking up special mugs here and there when they have special meaning. My set of Corelle came with mugs but I never use them because they're too small for my preference.

No, but I bought a Polish pottery mug on eBay.  I love it.  It's the perfect size, weight and design.  We rarely entertain, so I don't need a lot.  I do have a few holiday mugs that I love.  Time to pull those out.  A favorite was a set of two Valerie mugs with lids and saucers in a pretty plaid design.  I've probably had them 15 years.

Re: do you use coffee mugs as decor?

I am a mug addict for sure!!   I started collecting coffee mugs when I was 19 years old.

I have 144 from all over the world and every state in the US.   Many I bought myself on trips and many were also gifts over the years.  The mug had to say where it was from.

In our last house DH actually built me shelves specifically to display them.  I did not use them, ever!

Fast forward to now living in a townhouse I no longer have the space to display them.

Sadly they are still all packed up in boxes in the basement (5 years now) and every once in awhile I think I have to go through them, keep the sentimental ones and donate the rest Smiley Sad

I LOVE Polish pottery. My daughter brought me a vase from Poland, a friend gave me a cross that is hung in my kitchen. I keep seeing pop up ads on Facebook for a Polish pottery outlet, always showing beautiful mugs. I will be in big trouble if I ever click on that. Haha
