Re: do you use a pressure cooker?

Yes, I use a stovetop one by Fagor, 6qt is perfect for our family of 4.

It's Stainless Steel (easy cleanup, because no need for a nonstick on a pressure cooker. ) I got it from BedBathBeyond.

Re: do you use a pressure cooker?

I have a 6 qt round & an 8 qt oval electric digital pressure cooker. I used to make vegetable beef soup on the stovetop that took all day but now make it in 15 mins in the pressure cook. I like to make a full pot so we can eat it a few days & freeze some. One smaller then 6 qt for me would be to small. There is a full line in the pressure cooker plus you have to add so much liquid so keep that in mind when trying to decide what size to buy. I would go with the 6 qt so you have the option to make more or less of what you are cooking.

Re: do you use a pressure cooker?

I have both pressure cookers and a slow cooker. If I could have only one, I think I'd chose the pressure cooker. I like the results better as far as appearance, taste and texture go. The 6 qt is the most versatile size, even for me who lives alone. I like leftovers and like to freeze for later meals.

Re: do you use a pressure cooker?

I have a 6qt electric instantpot. I wanted electric because I didn't want to babysit the pot on the stove but I didn't want nonstick. The instantpot is stainless! Yay and I absolutely love it and I'm using it more and more. It's a slow cooker and also has a sauté setting so there's a lot you can do with it. Even a low low yogurt maker. I just made 3 batches of bone broth tonight - each taking about 60-70 minutes total. I couldn't do that in one night with a slow cooker!
