Re: dishes getting them back

Shoot ! People nowdays would keep the dish, pot or pans, whatever and wouldn't dream of thanking you and handing back to you. LOL

I gave somebody that I thought could use it a Kitchen aid hand mixer she never even said thanky. Her husband wouldn't take payment for helping us hang a tv on the wall. I hardly use hand mixers, so, gave her one. later on I heard her tell somebody she hardly ever cooks.

She must not know Kitchen aid mixers aren't the 6.00 ones at the Walmart

sheesh.................

I always smell it and if it doesn't smell good, I'll run it through the dishwasher. Smiley Happy  My dad's house is all smoky and anything that comes from him smells like a smokehole!

When I give something to someone, I give it in a no return plastic container.

Peace!

When I bring something to a family gathering, I will either put it in a Betty Crocker or Rubbermaid container that I can get at Dollar Tree, don't care if I get it back or in one of the throw away aluminum pans.

@CelticCrafter this so reminds me of me and Oprah as I read the funniest article about her as she loves GladWare.  She too goes bananas when containers aren't returned (we always hosted all of the holidays so replacing regular containers was getting pricey) . . . she completely admitted that even with all of her wealth that drove her completely bananas and I can understand that thought process . . . Re: dishes getting them back

anytime anyone gives me a dish, plate, or plastic storage pieces back they go right into the dishwasher to be cleaned.

I ALWAYS rewash. Even if it was washed properly, there is a certain amount of handling in getting it back to you.
