It's pretty much in the taste buds of the beholder, or taster. Most people who raise their hands in horror at the very thought of an artificial sweetener do not "have to" use anything but sugar. Diabetics have the "choice" of never using any sugar (not realistic), using artificial sweeteners, or using a very few "natural" sweeteners - Stevia, agave nectar, honey, etc. I use Splenda when I have any kind of choice. The others have a very distinct, bitter/chemical taste to me. When Splenda came on the market it was touted as having the least "taste" of any artificial sweetener. I have found this to be the case *for me.* It can be used with good results in baking if needed, although I do taste it a little in baked goods. I was happy to try Stevia when it arrived. To me and my taste buds, Stevia tastes positively gross. Can't stand it. Very noticeable. It could be "the healthiest" (open to debate), but it all boils down to what each individual's taste buds tell them. No point in eating the "best" if it ruins the taste of what you use it in. Experiment.

For those who have tried stevia & not liked the taste, you might want to try a few different brands before giving up on it. For some reason different brands taste different & some taste bitter while others do not.

Got away from the daily artificial sweetener in my tea: use 1tsp. Sugar and 1 natural organic raw agave. Taste is excellent and I never enjoyed the bitterness or Aftertaste of Sweet 'n' Low types of sweeteners.

Artificial sweeteners scare me.

I'll take my chances with good old natural sugar.

Everything in moderation....unless it's poison. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

Me too, no artificial sweeteners for me. Even the ones that "claim" they are natural, are not if you google them. Give me the sugar(in moderation).

I use Splenda, but any thing you use in excess will harm you so I don't go over board with it. I don't use it to bake with only in ice tea in the summer, I do drink diet soda, but again not in excess.

I don't use it often but I've never found one I like as well as Sweet and Low. I don't get any aftertaste. I sometimes cook or make ice cream with Splenda.

Per my naturopath, I use only Stevia. I keep the concentrated form for use at my "tea station" in the kitchen and carry Stevia packets in my purse for use when I'm at a restaurant or at Starbucks.

I use this, too. It is very good. I use it for anything I can. White and brown.
