apple cake

Someone posted an apple cake recipe from the September 2011, Southern Living Magazine here a couple of weeks ago. I made it yesterday.

I think it is the best apple cake I have ever tasted,well I just tasted the batter, filling and glaze, not the finished product. I am saving the big cake cutting for Fri. when my company arrives.

Thanks to the poster. The recipe was easily followed but labor intensive. It also makes a beautiful presentation. Without seeing the recipe here I would have never made this. I can't wait for the company to arrive!
