only had the pink ones a couple of days and noticed tiny particles in the drain basketl.

I have noticed them more and more.   Used for cleaning glass cooktop, hard anodized

cookware and sometimes dishes.   The suggestions is put them in your dishwasher

to clean them....  It's $79.00 or more for a repair man just to come to the home if these

particles get into the motor or pump.  QVC refunded me and the company wants to

send a replacemnt and send pictures if possible.  One of  the pictures:101_3551.JPG

Thanks for the warning, shopped out. I've noticed they don't last as long as the older SD's. Too bad.

I love Scrub Daddys and Mommys! Never had the problem you had. Mine last and last and last. I put them in the dishwasher, top rack, once a week. I have them on auto-delivery, but they have lasted so long that I may skip the AD this summer.

I have the same problem with the scrub daddies. I have the mommies, but have not used them as yet. I have the yellow, orange, blue and green daddies and they don't last two weeks. I too find my sink and my drain all full of the little particles. For those who have them forever, you must have the older ones. The newer ones are not the same quality and do not hold up at all.

@Apple Crisp I got the set of both (pink and purple/blue) in January. I understood that it was the first presentation of the mommys. Those are the ones that have lasted me so long that I will probably pass, or at least delay, the auto delivery expected in July.

I have also used the original yellow ones for a long time.

No problem with any version of them so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.

havent had any problems with mine and i am on auto delivery for the regular scrub daddies. i only keep them for about a month, maybe slightly longer, because i like to refresh mine. i never keep a sponge longer than a month in general.

Re: a scrubb daddy warning

[ Edited ]

When i use my scrub daddy or scrub mommy, I keep them on the sink to air dry- this helps them last longer. When I've left them in the sink they dissipate quicker. My scrub mommy doesn't last as long, which I suspected would be the case since half the piece is a sponge.

I just double checked my sponges. Mine are different from the picture shown in this post. Mine are yellow on one side and pink or purple on the other side. These are the ones I have been using since January and they are just fine.

I have the yellow rectangle scrub daddys that were offered more than a year ago as a TSV.  In the presentation they said you could cut them in half so you'd have double the amount.  I have cut two or three of them and each time, they start to unravel and leave particles like you are showing all over the sink.  They also do not take burned on residue off the bottom of my hard anodized pots like they showed in the presentation (which is the reason I bought them).  Very disappointed in them.  They last a little longer if not cut in half but I will not purchase any scrub daddys again.

I also had this problem especially when cleaning my cast iron skillet.  They do not last long on tough jobs.  I can't imagine all those particles going into drain systems and the water supply.  Yikes.  Clog city.  Not buying these again.  I will stick to my Dobie scrubbies which I have used for years!
