Gadget that microwaves potatoes in few minutes as opposed to oven baking. Couldn't find in stores. Been going thru Wendy's drive thru for their baked potatoes.

 

Decided to buy this gadget and see if it really does what it says will do.

I just scrub a potato, pierce it and stick it in the micro.  No gadget needed.

Not if you let out the air by piercing it.......or make a cross hatch with a knive.....

I've baked approximately 963,467 of them and never had one explode.  That's why you pierce them.

@SharkE : Gosh . Received 4 emails today from QVC and the yummy can wasn't included so I can purchase one and have extras for the mail man, ups, fedex, etc.😃

@SouthernBee    I had to look the Yummy Can up as I'd never heard of it.  It's apparently an infomercial product sold for about $25.  That's a lot to microwave a potato.

It was really 963,468 ( you forgot tast night ) LOL

Seriously, Suzy.......buy yourself a plastic cover from the $ store and IF it explodes it will be contained..

Lately, I've gone back to baking potatoes in the oven with potato nails stuck thru them lengthwise.  I have sets of long & short nails that I've had for decades & I much prefer oven baked over nuked potatoes.
