Gosh, if all the food we eat had to be pretty, a lot of us would starve.

I love lobster (had it twice this weekend) and I also love salmon.  Does the salmon look "pretty" before it's filleted and cooked on your plate?

Silly argument.

Personally, I've seen some beautiful, rare lobsters (that don't end up on someone's plate).  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It's funny how our past influences our tastes.

My family was poor, so we spent most of our weekends foraging or hunting for food.

Being in the Pacific NW, salmon was always a free meal.

I grew up thinking only poor people ate salmon.

The one time I had lobster decades ago it gave me a raging headache. Never again. I like crab. Hate salmon.

So delighted to hear so many avoiding seafood.  More for me!  Love it all, especially fried soft shelled crab, lobster, shrimp, oysters, grouper, and on and on.

Ewww  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick with salmon

@SharkE. Salmon is nasty IMO, strong and fishy

compared to Lobster.   .  Lobster is mild and sweet with no fish taste.  It tastes very similar to King Crab.

I'm with you, @Sooner ! Love all seafood and grateful to live on the coast; I always say I would never starve because all I had to do was throw out a line and get something to eat. My absolute favorite fish is grouper and very thankful that it's very easy to get here. Going out in a little boat and pulling up oysters and shucking them right there with the salt water flavoring them has to be an ultimate experience. I like fried oysters but eating them right out the river is just yummy. Not seafood but it grosses me out when people talk about eating crawfish, can't stomach them.
