Your opinions or thoughts about Hard Anodized Pans, please.

I absolutely have to replace a couple of my T-Fal everyday little skillets, and I'm also looking for about a 10" pan about maybe 3" deep with a lid. I have all kinds of other CE and other brands of smaller and bigger stuff, but I'm just looking for individual pieces, not a set. I've seen some nice ones at Kohls, but would like to know more about this hard anodized stuff. Am wondering if it's better than plain old non-stick, or what. That 10" pan is the one I'd really like to get in anodized. But I'm not sure it's even any better than I think it is or not. If you have used both, could I have your yeah or nay on it? TIA

I like them for most things, but you cannot use them on an induction burner, which I DO use a lot...

have owned hard anodized pans for years. They have survived my bad cooking (lol).

I have found them easier to cook in.

I have two hard anodized skillets from Costco; Kirkland brand; they are really easy to clean and have held up very well.

It sounds like you are looking for a 3 quart sauté, if you want straight up and down sides. I use hard anodized or stainless, both with non-stick. I will not use hard coat enamel. Plain aluminum is just not that durable if you are hard on your cookware.

All my pots and pans are hard anodized ... love them! They cook very evenly. I know you aren't looking for a set, but did you see the TSV today? My set is by All-Clad (although not Emeril's set), and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend All-Clad.

Waiting for a Hard Anodized Cookware Set that is PFOA Free. They are trying to get rid of all the Non Safe Teflon coated cookware before the new law kicks in that that can know longer make or sell Toxic Teflon with all the bad chemicals(if it kills your pet birds, what is it doing to all of us that have been cooking in these for years.) They have not perfected the Ceramic Non-Stick coatings yet. Have had the Green Pan line of cookware and it ended up in the garbage because over time food started sticking to the pans. I will patiently wait for a set to come out that can prove to me it is worthy of spending that kind of money that will perform and last a lifetime!
