Re: Your Favorite Cookie, Homemade or Bought

Current favorite is Royale Cookies that I get from a local place. They have chocolate chips, coconut, and macadamia nuts in them. Very tasty!

@on the bay You are right......also called butterballs in some parts of the country. I'm sure most countries have their own iteration.

For homemade, snowballs are my favorite; a.k.a. Mexican wedding cookies or Russian tea cookies.

For store bought, Walkers shortbread cookies and Oreos.

We call those cookies here in Rhode Island butter balls.  Those are one of my favorites. And store bought my favorite cookies are butter butter cookies. I have never done it but I could easy at a whole package dunked in milk.

Since I must have made about 100 Hamentaschen, I'll vote for those.  We Jewish peple eat those around the holiday called Purim to celebrate the victory of Esther and her people over Haman [ the bad guy]

Thank you for explaining what goes into Russian tea cookies. Now I know for sure. Here in Rhode Island there called butter ball cookies. I just wrote it a little while ago.  My wife makes them for her cookie trays at Christmas time.

Homemade red white and blue cookies. Basically a chocolate chip cookie that subs regular chocolate chips with white chocolate chips (or chunks) and adds dried cranberries and blueberries. YUM!
