PA Mom-mom, liked your comments and welcome. I am a bit slow getting back here - been a bit busy - it happens.
Last night we had pizza - Ricky had tacos across the street however - must be nice The little girl for some reason is not wanting to eat much for each meal - guess it happens but she did have a big lunch but could not get much at all in her at dinner time. She did munch on some grapes - she likes them so that helped. Kids are sure picky when it comes to eating aren' t they?
Have a lot of running around to do, the little girl is stirring already ao need to get a move on. Have no clue what for dinner but will come up with something for sure. When this bunch gets hungry there is no doubt about it - of course the 16 year old stays hungry!!!

@Winifred When DD was tiny, she was picky also, so I would leave morsels on the end of the kitchen table, and she would toodle in, take it, and toodle back to what she was doing, then I would put another morsel, and so on and so on. Of course, once she was a bit older, she ate at the table. ![]()

I am not sure of Leah's age but maybe she's about a year old? If you are not already doing it, please cut grapes for Leah in half. Many years ago, I lost a toddler cousin who suffocated on a grape (whole).
I 'talked' to you way back when I used to enjoy reading about the advenyures of Stripes. I was saddened when you lost Stripes and Conrad.

vabreeze. Leah will be two on the 29th of this month. She is a pistol - this morning both she and Ricky devoured peaches and cream oatmeal. Then Ricky argues it had no peaches in it. Well I tried to explain what those little sweet pink/peach bits were. He is also a character. Thanks much for your tip. Little ones seem to be real challenges in many different ways. LOL
Pooky1 you sure have a good cook in our household.
Today was Davey's first day of school - took him three buses to get there - it is in another town - but am delighted he made it. S it is good for day one at least - was quite surprised at his attitude about actually getting there and doing something. Said he like his teacher - that too is a big surprise. Could he finally be growing up?
Got a tad sticky today. Yuck!

I went to Costco the other day, and two items I bought were tilapia, froze it in individual baggies and kept some out for dinner, and a large box of baby spinach. I usually buy the spinach, but the size of the box is always a problem in the frig, so I decided to try something. I barely cooked the spinach, for one minute or just under, in the microwave and put it in a bowl to use as I need. It worked perfectly. The spinach did not get watery.
Last night, I put some spinach in a pan with xvoo, salt/pepper, to go along with some pan fried tilapia and cooked a couscous/wild rice mix that I also bought, and it was a good, low cal meal, most happy about the spinach. ![]()
I have some leftover ground turkey seasoned mix from making patties the other night, so will use this and leftover couscous/wild rice from last night with a few other ingredients to stuff red, yellow, and orange bell peppers for tonight, works for me. ![]()
I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Am taking Leah back to Sunday School this morning. Hope it will work out - one never knows especially since last night she was an ornery little one. Very unlike her - as often with little ones, you just never know. She was with Sherry overnight and Sherry is good with the kids so have not clue what her problem is. Sherry wanted to know why did I not take Ricky to Sunday School also - told her if they acted up I could not handle both of them. LOL. Suggested she take him since she did let her sister take him once and they said he was an angel. What I notice however, is one or both of them tend to act up more in the presence of their sibling - not always but often. Sherry did say Ricky was a pistol yesterday. Often wonder what sets him off - and after last night tried to figure out her behavior - way out of line for her. Hope she does well this morning. LOL.'
We had a packaged Asian meal for the WOK last night. It was super good. The little girl would NOT eat any of it so gave her grapes - only thing I could get in her. She has not eaten well for several days - I guess it is just one of those things kids go through - she obviously feels well.Yesterday turned into a miserable sticky day - not nice at all. Am hoping today will not be as bad as that weather also impacts kids - not just we old folks.
Tonight am going to try some chicken in the slow cooker - will see how the little girls does with that. She didn't even eat eggs the other morning and she loves scrambled eggs. Weird. But she is going through some changes - she will turn two in two weeks.
Hope one and all have a very good day - need some of our regulars getting back here and I noticed I skipped yesterday. Shame on me. Mousiegirl you did some good cooking at your house. Shopping at Sam's or Costco can do that to you. LOL.

Pooky1, hope Maria is doing better this morning. I have been blessed never had that problem but have had several friends who have suffered with it. I understand it is horribly painful.
Fixed a spin off last night of something I saw on FB. Cut up red potatoes, thawed out some beef I had cut up to have a stew one day, garlic celery seed, couple other spices I just pulled out, the canned fried onions - should have used fresh but these were good, a little oil in the bottom of the baking dish and cooked it in the oven. While it was very good I did cook it a tad too long due to me checking out all the whatever going on in the neighborhood for a good 3 hours.Weird situation to begin with.
People own this home across the street and two houses up. They moved out but left their $$ RV there and rented the home to two employees of the man. He showed up the other day and left his wife there/???? She was in the RV, Have no clue what happened but here come the sheriff's department yesterday afternoon, they talked to the wife and someone in the home separately, then another sheriff showed up and more talking Janet came outside and was looking at a bunch of papers - then the waiting game began. Could not figure out why but Janet and the two police officers were outside - this went on for another two hours. By now they had brought out a chair for Janet and she and the officers had no more conversation for all this time. FINALLY an ambulance showed up, they put her on a gurney and off everyone one, got dark over there and that was that. The wife has had some mental problems lately but I questioned why he would leave her there on property he had rented out. Still have no clue what happened but the wife has needed help, not constantly being petted - new car, etc - and then he bought another house out in the middle of the desert as she said this house was haunted - and so it went. I heard he had filed for divorce - entire thing made no sense and I had worried if she had any food or water in that RV. So strange - the husband should have had her put in a hospital some time back and LEFT THERE until something could be found to help her - as she kept getting in trouble, taken to jail and he rushed to get her out but he wants no part of her. Then take care of her - he is financially well off so he can afford it but suspect if this kind of thing continues his pocketbook will feel the hurt. I would have to have been really ill or hurt and had to wait that long for an ambulance.
Very very chilly this morning - in fact I am freezing. Well shortly it will change a bit. LOL.
Have a great day everyone.
