Word to the wise and un-wise..... Bamboo is a strong, but...

it is one of the cheapest items on the building market because

bamboo is a sustainable product. That there is NO shortage

and some bamboo plants grow 6" inches and more a day...

If you lived in a tropical area bamboo could be referred to

as a weed... A problematic weed...

It annoys me to see that item made with bamboo being sold

for more than triple the landed price..

Landed price is the price a company pays for an item when it

arrives into their country from other parts of the world...

I once was in a furniture store and saw some furniture and

saw that they had a sale on some items and even with the

sale, the items were 8 times more than the landed price..

I know..... I saw the invoices....

We know those companies have to make some profit but do

not let them gouge your eyes out because YOU do not know

I have a few bamboo items and they are very durable. For me, that's worth the price that I paid, even if it was more than the landed price.

Even if I was gouged, I still payed much less than the wooden counterpart.

Speaking of bamboo, I'm really enjoying my bamboo nightshirt from Bamboo Dreams. It's 95% viscose made from bamboo and feels like modal. Perfect for summer.

I have a beautiful bamboo bowl that I put things like nuts

in and I paid $15.00 ...

My daughter bought some towels that are viscose from bamboo..

They are soft and absorbent.... And the wash very well...
