I have several cutting boards and dont use or need all of them. Does anyone use a wooden cutting board for anything else? I have been trying to think of what to do with them and dont want to get rid of them  Smiley Happy

Re: Wooden Cutting Board Ideas

I have a fairly large one that I keep on the left side of my stovetop that is against a wall. There are only two of us so I usually only use the 2 right side burners.

The board gives a bit of extra counter space while I am cooking and just be removed if need be. I am the only one who touches the stove.

I noticed David sells a product that does the same thing.

I also keep a cutting board out on each counter. I also have quite a few.

I have several cutting boards in a variety of sizes. I keep one next to the sink. Everyone uses this to make whatever when they raid the refigerator. I keep one under the air fryer. I really don't want any extra heat on my counter top but that's just me being extra cautious. I also have a kitchenette in our family room. Those counter tops are so old and I can't stand them. I'm waiting to replace them but in the interim I have a large one on the one side that I use as a "side board" to hold dog dishes, etc.  They are also great for having near the grill.

I do not like to keep anything that I do not need or use. Is there a family member or friend who would like one? If in excellent shape, donate. If not, trash. It's OK.

Yes, I have a nice board that a relative honed.  It's got some decoration on it and I use it under my "fruit bowl" area on the counter.

It was a nice gift and it looks pretty.  I have a couple others of some sort of synthetic that I use as backsplashes on top of my old 4" ones (backsplashes).

Sometimes things like that add just the depth and dimension needed without being obtrusive.  Wood's such a nice natural element to have around.

@FlowerBear How about as  a tray or to have other things on it on a coffee table?

Raise it up with feet at the 4 corners to make a shelf.

Re: Wooden Cutting Board Ideas

wooden cutting boards that are in excellent shape and look good can be used to make charcuterie boards with meats, cheeses, and condiments OR can be used for a fruit display.....cut up fruits or whole fruits.

they can also be used for a dessert tray/display or for appetizers.

I have used mine as a "trivet" of sorts for hot dishes. Sometimes I use it on the table if it's needed, and often I'll just put it by the sink to put a hot pan or casserole dish on. Smiley Happy
