has Anniversary pricing going on now in advance of his shows starting next Fri.   Just a heads up.  If I was single I'd get the pressure oven LOL I'd love to pressure cook a turkey. Reynolds bags do great job though, too.

I just like my gadgets LOL

wait and see if they don't disappear off the market LOL

way it goes my friends you love a certain product, gadget, etc.

Next time you go to buy it "we don't carry that any more"   "they discontinued that"   "we can't get that in our warehouse any more"

"that's on recall"

My poor ol' local Walmart hasn't gotten in the GoldMedal flour back yet !

Unbelievable, been out for like 2 months. The United stores are cleaning up on it, though.   Like I've said before I switched to King Arthur and my sister went to Whie Lilly.

If they try to take my Reynolds bags I'll hit every store in Amarilo and buy up both sizes, they'll keep. LOL

@SharkE

So true!

Although it's hard to imagine Wally's not having the Reynolds bags . . . just in case, I think I'll get a spare box or so . . .

Actually, I'm surprised more people don't use the Reynolds bags.

GoldMedal flour is what they don't have where they get their flour from some warehouse they believed the flour got some kind of bacteria in it or something. To complicated for me. all I know is a basic staple hasn't been available now for months.

Now, with holidays like Thansksg. coming on Libby's pumpkin will come down with something or the other. I finally found my big can of Libby's Instant pumpkin mix at a cheapie Sav A Lot store and bought up 3 cans that should do me till Nov. Of course you can't find it at Walmart or United.

sigh..............I don't get this mess, never will.

If I was a young cook or bride I'd use the Reynolds bags. Most people now days just won't cook, period. Restaurents are open or somebody else will do it . LOL

World is changing. You ever in the KFC on Wed.? these poor men think a buttermilk biscuit is a luxury. Nobody cooks any more I'm the last of a dying breed. I got a husband who won't eat half what I fix, so,I content my creativity with cooking for the 'deprived' men of the local church. LOL

Nobody is gonna make yeast rolls from scratch, German choc cake, etc.

Yeah, @SharkE  you're right about the world changing, one reason too is, the adults work all day so "convenience" is key.

I must say though, my niece married a man who loves to cook and bake and he's good!

When I was growing up, baking & cooking, even cleaning, was considered "women's work"  lol . . .

As for the Gold Medal flour & canned pumpkin dilemma, just hang in there, the companies probably have to get up to speed on their orders & deliveries . . .

That's true. Poor women nowdays have to do it all I feel sorry for them.

They hold down a job and all that pressure, don't have time to keep house and if you got kids you got all that drama going on. I imagine husbands haven't changed that much when they're off they're off can sit on butts.

Glad I was born when I was. I even iron. LOL

my husband won't eat most of what i cook either. he hates anything "mixed". hates onions, garlic, mushrooms, etc. hates most sauces and gravy. we have been married 45 years and this issue is such a sad one for me. i love to cook so i cook things for my children and their families and sometimes just for friends and drive it over to their house. they all appreciate it and love everything. my husband eats a lot of toast and fruit if he comes home and sees something he won't eat. i have bent over backwards to try and feed him things he likes, but i have lost heart. now i kind of don't care if he likes things or not. i cook what i cook and if he won't eat it, tough. go make toast. lol. i bought wolfgangs bistro set a few years ago and love it! best cookware i have ever used.

yeah, it's sad for us folks who like to cook and try out new stuff.

Because of health issues we're not suppose to like nothing that isn't green and taste like seaweed, then, you got husbands that were raised weird and can't change, I just allow myself few treats on the weekend if he eats it, fine, not, fine too.

I figure they won't starve to death. LOL
