UPS bought mine last night. Read the book on it and was surprised to see the oil pot is not dishwasher safe. Only thing you can put in the dishwasher is the basket. Yikes ! I'll have to scrub the grease pot. LOL

Other then that really satisfied with the quality of it. Well made machine.

Gonna make potato chips in it today just for myself. Hubbo's fav I'll make another batch for him Sat.

Next thing I'll make is fried chicken. Gave my old 1 to the needy.

Presto deep fryer you could put pot in dishwasher ! Go figure. LOL

Deep frying is the only way I can make fried chicken.  Never got it right the other way.  My other fave is fried okra.

1 thing I noticed is in his handbook he said to fry chicken at 350.

I had always fried mine at 375. Think I'll turn it down and see if it makes a difference.

Frying chicken in a skillet is not really hard. LOL I could teach you.

He fried okra on his show it's in the video promo

One thing that cracked me up when I watched the promo demo last night on the website. That real skinny host with the black hair made the comment about how expensive peanut oil is, blah, blah.

that's right, BUT, she said "It's at least 8-13 a gallon now".   I go "say what"!

show me where your buying peanut oil for 8-13.00 a gallon I'll back up the Kia and load up.

Hubbo said "you can tell she doesn't eat or cook" doesn't know what she's talking about. LOL  Uh, no, dear, peanut oil is like 20 bucks and up even at Sam's Club.  Walmart now has a real small container for 8 enough to fry with one or 2 times small batch for 2 people.
