I've been looking for a blender that could make soup. I bought the black one and my parents are getting the red. I also bought the blender cookbook. I cannot wait for it to arrive. This year I have been trying to eat healthier and I think this blender fits the bill!

I watched the presentation last night and must say, I wasn't that impressed with it, and the fact that they compared it to the vitamix is kind of a joke. I watched the gal attempt to make peanut butter. It never did smooth out. And, it took so long to make the ice cream, it was half melted by the time they scooped it out. I agree...the vitamix is very expensive, but I have had mine for over 30 years. I doubt that WP's would last that long.

Hey poppin, my Vitamix is 36 years old!!!  Starting not to work as good and will be looking to buy a new one soon.

I think this is a new version.

But some years ago I got one of his "best ever" blenders for about $89, but it didn't last long and I didn't even use it often.

HI poppin--I thought mine wouldn't either but it did altho I still use it for easier jobs like bread crumbs, grinding grains into flour and such. It just doesn't liquify the veggies I use into smooth smoothies and thats what I was using it mostly for. Is yours all stainless steel with a spigot on the front? I have replaced a few things to help it run better but feel like spending alot more $ on it isn't a good thing. Have my pennies saved for a new.

Wagirl. I don't have the stainless one. I have one of the first white ones they put out. I think at some point I will have to get new blades, but boy those new ones are so beautiful!!

Re your Nutribullet: some of the original blades have a problem with the bushing. (This is the sleeve around the shaft of the blade that seals it.)  Stuff dripped past it into the Bullet.

You might try a new blade (you can replacements online) but if it persists, it may be the motor got dripped into, and it's burning off the drips.

My original blade cracked and started leaking into the unit. I replaced the blade and now I've had it for some years and it works fine.

As to the Puck Food Processor: it was a CUTE design; a drawer beneath for the blades, very compact. But in about a year, the motor seized up and it was done for. I haven't bought any WP electrics again, though I did buy a lot of those garnish kits on sale for about $20 and I use them as hostess gifts. They are INCREDIBLE--you get melon ballers, v-cutters, scissors, corers, etc with pretty colored handles in a cloth roll and they are always a welcome gift.
